Take Time For Yourself

I have realized we all live driven lifestyles promoted by society and take on the characteristics of a limit pusher. However, in the process we neglect the source of this powerful energy, ourselves: mind, body, and soul. Why is this?

Life gets hectic, mostly demanding you to be two places at once.  Although this is all fine and dandy, never forget to take time for yourself to recharge.  Turn your back on technology and embrace Mother Nature- you will be in paradise!

Today, I have embraced her and wow... boy did I need the getaway. Work hard during the week, play hard during the weekend. Set one day aside in your week for personal time, family time, and most important, no work! We all need it in order to be in the moment when Monday rolls around :)

"Are you spending or investing your time?"

Stay focused on the path ahead.  Weed out things that do not add value in your life.  Wake up each morning repeating "I will only invest all of my time."  You will be shocked by what you will acomplish and how much you will grow as a person.

If somethings not working, change it.  If it is working, keep it.  When it no longer works, change it.  Change is not always bad, but the start to a new opportunity.  Don't run from it, rather embrace it and share it with others- learn to except help.

Wisdom of the Universe

“Just when you think you have it figured out, you’re not looking hard enough.”

This is a thought that has been crossing my mind.  Although complex, it’s very quite simple you see.  We spend so much of our awakened hours focused, but focused on the wrong things.  We need to separate our routine thoughts and behaviors from the current opportunities placed within our reach.  We so seldom extend our arms and grasp what’s directly in our sight.   Why is this?  Are we scared to fail or is it as simple as not being aware?  Being quite observant, I thought I had a clench on my life, but digging deeper with a shovel of curiosity exposed what I truly was seeking. 

Keep your eyes open.  It’s about living in the moment and accepting what life is presenting you.  We’ve always been advised to “seize the moment” by our parents and elders, well my question is why?  I’ve begun to feel it’s something they have always struggled with and never took that leap of faith.  You can’t win a game sitting on the sidelines, so I encourage you to not be that person.  I encourage you to get away from all the noise that blocks our transmission of ideas.  I encourage you to stop… listen and question yourself, “Am I missing anything?”

I re-state my original thought, the wisdom of the universe.  Things work out in the strangest ways… why?  Are these just coincidence or signs designed to hook our attention and beckon us back on track?  I like to believe that some days you are faced with certain situations that have been designed in advanced to prepare you for your future.  I feel that you must make a choice on what course of action you will take.  The question is will you tune the opportunity in and tune the world out. 

I leave you with this line to reflect on,  “What if we woke up in the morning and expected only amazing things to happen.”  Ask yourself, what could you achieve?

Count Your Blessings

Think of the day you received your first pair of corrective lenses. Wow, is this what I’ve been missing?  As if a piece of transparent fabric was suddenly removed from your sight and clearing up the hazy path that has served as a roadblock to your success.  This is a short description of what has been going on in my mind for the past month.  Fears that were so difficult to fathom are now a thing in the past and excitement is the only word to be found.

Have you recently felt the sensation that your goals and visions are so attainable, yet fears bodyguard declines you access?  I’ve been treading in new waters surrounding myself with positive people and weeding out the negative ones.  The results?  Game changing… It’s a refreshing reminder that when you place inspirational individuals in front of you the outcome of your mind, body, and soul is tenfold.  This rebirth if you will, has been solely from my peers; encouragement at its finest!  The unknown is a scary and risky game, but without this risk there is no reward- something that I’ve been hearing all over lately.  The passage below was shared with me and truly explains my thoughts…

"There's a reason we refer to "leaps of faith" - because the decision to consent to any notion of divinity is a mighty jump from the rational over to the unknowable, and I don't care how diligently scholars of every religion will try to sit you down with their stacks of books and prove to you through scripture that their faith is indeed rational; it isn't.  If faith were rational, it wouldn't be - by definition- faith.  Faith is belief in what you cannot see or prove or touch.  Faith is walking face-first and full-speed into the dark. If we truly knew all the answers in advance as to the meaning of life and the nature of God and the destiny of our souls, our belief would not be a leap of faith and it would not be a courageous act of humanity; it would just be... a prudent insurance policy." 

           Belief is big in my life and it’s important to start accepting those unknown and un-explainable, not questioning them.  If we knew all the answers, what fun would that be? Really…?  I empower those who have been battling this question to reflect on it.  I empower those to turn their mental lights off and run, run full-speed into whatever unknowns you may have.  I empower those to confront their fears bodyguard face-first and shove through regaining victor.  Why not?  You only have one shot, so why not make the best out of it?
